IC)—An Enid man was hospitalized after crashing a reportedly stolen vehicle just after 9:30 Wednesday night in Woods County. Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials said 48 year-old Howard Selvey was transported from the scene by Air-Evac and taken to OU Medical Center in OKC where he was admitted in critical condition with head, neck and trunk injuries. According to the report, Selvey was northbound at a high rate of speed on a county road southeast of Hopeton in a 2000 Chevy pickup that had been reported stolen. He was being pursued by a pickup driven by 42 year-old Anthony Robinson, a Deputy with the Major County Sheriff’s Office, when both vehicles went through a “T” intersection, hit the ditch and entered a field. The pickup driven by Selvey, who was not wearing his seatbelt, rolled a half time coming to rest on its top. Following the crash, Robinson was taken to Fairview Regional Hospital where he was treated and released. The incident remains under investigation.

CT)--The One Enid Christ Tree has been delayed by a winter storm in California that has pushed back its arrival in Enid by a few days. Nicole Winfield, project coordinator for The One Enid said the tree is in transport, following the delay. The 140-foot tree originally was scheduled to arrive in Enid around noon on Friday. Barring any future weather delays the tree is expected to arrive Sunday. While there will be no official arrival ceremony, the public is welcome to come to downtown when the tree is arriving. You can follow the progress on The One Facebook page. The arrival delay of the world's tallest, fresh-cut Christmas tree will not affect its role during the Enid Lights Up the Plains Celebration on Nov. 25.
