WN)--Active COVID-19 cases in Garfield County and across Oklahoma have increased over the past week, according to Oklahoma State Department of Health on Wednesday. According to the report, in the past week, cases in Garfield County increased by 86. The number of cases over the past 30 days in Garfield County is 367. OSDH reported a three-day average of 401 total COVID-19 hospitalizations, an increase of 24 since last week. Of those, 134 are in the ICU across the state. The three-day average hospitalizations in the Northwest Region, including Garfield County, is 21 with five in the ICU. Locally, both St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center and Integris Bass Baptist Health Center each reported two confirmed positive COVID-19 patients with none in the ICU on Wednesday.

JL)--Jackson Lahmeyer will be holding a Freedom Rally in Enid at the Stride Bank Center Sunday evening at 6:00. Lahmeyer is a conservative Republican running for U.S. Senate. Lahmeyer will be joined by John Bennett, Chairman of the Oklahoma Republican Party, and Roger Stone, former Senior Advisor to President Donald Trump. You will need a ticket to get into the rally. NW)--25 years ago Northwestern Oklahoma State University opened its Enid campus at 30th and Randolph. There will be a birthday celebration this afternoon at 2:00. NWOSU-Enid dean Wayne McMillin, NWOSU President Janet Cunningham and former Enid dean Cheryl Evans are scheduled to be there.

IR)—Main Street Enid on Friday will open the Holidays on Ice skating rink in Stride Bank Center’s south parking lot in downtown. Around 10,000 skaters reportedly took to the ice last winter. This year the rink will be open Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve, but closed Christmas day. Season tickets and group events and parties can be ordered now through Stride Bank Center by calling (580) 616-7381. Williams Media Group, KOFM-KGWA, is the rink’s sponsor, and Main Street also is welcoming additional sponsors for Holidays on Ice. Contact Main Street director Natalie Beurlot for details.
