BT)--An Enid teen is facing five felony charges related to a burglary and assault that happened Aug. 9 in the 200 block of Dogwood Lane. Enid News and Eagle reports 18 year-old Tyler James Eddy Foster faces two counts of assault and battery with a deadly weapon and single counts of first-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit a felony and knowingly receiving or concealing stolen property. Foster was arrested by Enid Police Department after the incident in which one man was shot in the foot and another was beaten. Three juveniles involved in the incident on Dogwood also were tied to an incident that happened earlier on the night of Aug. 8. Police responded to the area of 2610 W. Garriott in response to a fight that "was later found to be a strong-arm robbery. The victims identified the suspects as three 17-year-old males and an 18-year-old. While Foster was jailed the three 17-year-olds were taken to the juvenile detention facility on Aug. 10.

FI)--The Lady Liberty A-26 bomber will be on display Saturday during the fly-in breakfast at Enid Woodring Regional Airport. The event will be 7:30-10:00 a.m., giving attendees a chance to view the legacy aircraft of World War II. The ML Becker Educational Center & Museum will be open 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There also will be a spot landing contest for the aircraft attending the fly-in. Lady Liberty is a Douglas A-26 bomber that was commissioned in the final months of WWII in 1945. The plane is maintained and operated by a group of volunteers. The buffet breakfast at Barnstormers is open to the public. The cost is $9.99 per plate for adults and $4.99 for children 12 and under.

BP)--Enid Street Outreach Services will sponsor a backpack giveaway 9:00 a.m. to noon Saturday at Our Daily Bread, 616 W. Randolph. Backpacks will be filled with school supplies. SOS also will have shoes and socks in assorted sizes. Laundry soap, hygiene products and other supplies will be provide, along with haircut vouchers. Enid Street Outreach Services is a resource center helping with food stamps, medical counseling, treatment options, pet food, clothing and hygiene supplies. SOS is funded by community churches, Park Avenue Thrift, community organizations and individuals.

OM)--The Oscar Mayer Frankmobile, previously known as the Wienermobile, will be in Enid this week. According to Frankmobile driver Sam Dlott, said he and co-pilot, Mary Clare, will be distributing “Frankmobilia,” including the iconic Frank Whistles, and playing games for a chance to win free coupons for all-beef franks. While in town the entire week, scheduled events are  10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday at Jumbo Foods West, on W. Willow; and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Jumbo Foods East, on S. 30th.
