RB)--Dozens of food and arts and crafts vendors will be in downtown Enid this weekend for the ninth annual Red Brick Road Food Truck & Arts Festival. Put together by Enid Event Company, the two-day festival will be 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday in the 200 block of East Maple. Around 35 food vendors have signed up for the festival, bringing a wide range of cuisine to festival-goers. In addition, around 30 arts and crafts vendors plan to attend. Settlers Brewing Co., Enid Brewing Co. and Beer Me Up will all be on-site, too. Last year’s two-day festival saw more than 5,000 attendees. Wristbands are required to enter the festival and will be available each day for $3. Most of the vendors will accept credit and debit cards, but cash is the required payment option at the gate. Children 8 years old and younger can enter for free. Attendees are welcome to bring lawn chairs, and pets on leashes, as long as owners clean up after them, are welcome, too.

CS)-- More than 100 automobiles from across Oklahoma and surrounding states will be on display Saturday at the annual Boy Scouts of America Car Show. Sponsored by Enid Antique Car Club to benefit Cimarron Council, BSA, the car show will be open 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Garfield County Fairgrounds. Bud Smith, EACC president and past president and former board member of Cimarron Council, said all of the 100-plus vehicles on display will represent each era of the automobile industry, and among those will be a 1918 Geronimo, which is believed to be the last in existence and was built in Enid, and a 1916 Monroe, which is believed to be one of 14 in the United States. Thirty awards will be handed out in several categories. Five special awards will be handed out, as well, and two People’s Choice Awards will be presented. Scouts will be operating a concession stand, offering lunch, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and Pinewood Derby races will begin at 9:30 a.m. Admission to the car show is free, though donations are accepted. All proceeds will go toward Cimarron Council BSA. Anybody wanting to register for the car show can do so from 4-7 p.m. Friday and 8-10:30 a.m. Saturday. The entry fee is $25 per vehicle.

MG)--In honor of Sam Justice, 4RKids will be have its annual mini golf tournament fundraiser on Saturday. It will be an all-day event from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. at 4RKids Mini Golf, 710 Overland Trail. Proceeds will benefit the 4RKids Foundation. Since its founding in 2003, the 4RKids Foundation’s mission is to promote community awareness of individuals with developmental disabilities and to provide vocational, educational and social/recreational opportunities for children and adults with special needs in Northwest Oklahoma. The mini golf tournament is open to anyone in the community. Children and families play anytime between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Adult drinks available for purchase from 8:00-11:00 p.m. Participants may play as individuals or as teams. Players will be divided by age group. Winners will place based on the final score after completion of the 18-hole miniature golf course. Winners will be announced on Monday. The cost to enter the tournament is $5 per player or $20 for a group of four. Players can enter at any point during the event. SJ)--Enid Social Justice Committee will host a come-and-go event Saturday giving out free hotdogs and providing information about ESJC to attendees. “Grill and Chill” will start at 4 p.m. Saturday at Glenwood Park, 1800 E. Randolph. Gracie Mae, ESJC’s Ward 3 captain, said the event will feature a few games for children to play, free hotdogs being handed out and ESJC members speaking and chatting to people who attend. Anybody and everybody is welcome to attend.
