Enid High School sports in the fall of the year are football, softball and volleyball. 

 

The Enid High School Plainsmen look to get back in the playoffs under third year head coach Steve Chard.  You can hear Plainsmen football on KGWA Sports AM960 each Friday night with Jay Hoberecht and Randy Floyd.

 

The Enid High School Pacer softball team is young and will try to build towards the playoffs in October under fourth year head coach Marsha Cusack.  You can hear Pacer softball on kgwanews.com during the season with Jay Hoberecht.

 

The Enid High School volleyball team will be trying to improve on an impressive season last year under head coach Steve Bloom.

 

Enid High School sports in the winter are basketball, swimming and wrestling.

 

The Enid High School Pacer and Plainsmen basketball teams open their season on December 6th hosting Elk City at the Enid Event Center.  Both Pacer head coach Robb Mills and Plainsmen head coach Ryan Wilkinson begin their third year at EHS.  It will be the first high school basketball game in the new downtown venue.  Make your plans to be a part of opening night.

 

The Enid High School swim teams are coached by Ginny Shipley.  Both the Pacers and Plainsmen don't have a large number of swimmmers out this year but they have solid quality and will look to have several qualifiers for the state meet.

 

The Enid High School Plainsmen wrestling team is led by new head coach Trent Holland  The Plainsmen continue to improve and build the wrestling program and look for that to continue under Coach Holland.

 

Enid High School sports in the spring are baseball, tennis, soccer, golf and track.

 

The Enid High School Plainsmen baseball team is coached by Bill Mayberry and will be be young and looking to build a solid foundation for a shot at the playoffs.

 

The Enid High School Pacers and Plainsmen tennis teams have a new head coach in Carl Gaebler.  Coach Herndon retired at the end of last season.  Tennis is the most decorated sport at Enid High School.  The program has had tremendous success over the years.  This season the Pacers will be young and in a rebuilding mode and the Plainsmen will be solid.  Both programs will contend to return to the state championships.

 

The Enid High School Pacer and Plainsmen soccer programs are coached by Craig Liddell and now have over 100 players out for soccer.  The program has shown continious improvement over the years.  Look for this to be a special season for both programs.

 

The Enid High School Pacer and Plainsmen golf coach is David Lee.  The golf program has had outstanding success but is in a rebuilding mode this year and will try to qualify some individuals for the state tournament.

 

The Enid High School Pacer and Plainsmen track program is by Joe Miranov.  Enid has an opportunity to be very competitive on the track this spring.
